ActionAid Netherlands is a member of the ActionAid federation, with forty-three offices in the global North and South, which aim to combat poverty and injustice. ActionAid Netherlands is a member of the Dutch Fair, green and global alliance (FGG), a program funded by the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Context acted as the lead consultant for a major reflection workshop on the activities that have been carried out by ActionAid and its programme partners in South Africa, Zambia, Zimbabwe and Kenya in early October 2015.

This reflection workshop was held in the town of Kitwe in Zambia in the copper mine area.

The reflection exercise was grounded in field visits to mining communities and case studies about lobby and advocacy activities in which Action Aid and it partner organisations are involved.

In an iterative participatory workshop process, both ActionAid and its partner organisations distilled major lessons both at the strategic and operational level. These lessons can be applied and used in future campaigns and lobbying activities.

Apart from facilitating this learning workshop, Context has as well taken responsibility for the development of a knowledge product, which will be available by the end of 2015.
